No, Kyzatrex is not known to cause significant liver problems. Unlike some older oral testosterone medications that were associated with liver toxicity, Kyzatrex uses testosterone undecanoate, which is absorbed through the lymphatic system rather than processed directly by the liver. This reduces the potential for liver stress or damage. However, as with any medication, there is always a small risk of liver issues. The prescribing information for Kyzatrex notes that while it's not expected to cause hepatic adverse effects, patients should still report any signs of liver dysfunction such as nausea, vomiting, yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, or abdominal pain. If these occur, the medication should be discontinued while the cause is evaluated. Overall, Kyzatrex is considered to have a favorable liver safety profile compared to some other forms of testosterone replacement therapy.
